about

Weltschmerz collects the original pieces composed for Immersive Klimt Revolution, the new immersive show about Gustav Klimt directed by Massimiliano Siccardi, opening October 21st in Toronto.
The work is musically complex and articulated, with large and very different proportions compared to the other immersive works created so far, due to the strong need to recreate the time for a transformation, for a clear perception of the freedom and novelty brought by the revolution.
One of the great merits of the Wiener Secession was to contribute to a new concept of art staging, to the idea of a "temple" detached from reality, in which to immerse oneself to escape conflicts.
In view of this concept, the original pieces, strongly textural and contrapuntal, push the sound material towards a strong and distinguishable connotation, sometimes rarefied as in Texture 4 or in the piano piece Ariane, sometimes dense and heavy as in Weltschmerz, the track that gives the title to Ep.
The whole musical experience is so far an emotional preparation that conveys the idea of rebellion in MMXXI, an 8-minute techno track that breaks the expectation of change and concludes the research by giving voice to an imagined dance, a new tribal ritual of liberation where distance is just the space our invigorated aura takes to shine alive and fearless again.
